Our
Programs

Nearly every day of the year, Bread & Roses shares hope and healing through live music and other performing arts for our isolated neighbors in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our programs uplift the spirits of low-income children who don't have access to live performance, young people who are struggling to make better choices, families in homeless shelters, seniors nearing their end-of-life transitions, and others living apart from friends and family while facing challenging times.

In 2023 we presented 509 shows in 67 facilities in eight Bay Area counties; on average more than one show every day of the year. We showcased the talents of 283 volunteer musicians and other performers to bring joy to almost 55,000 isolated audience members, 70 % of whom are minorities

Live Performances

Our daily concerts are intentionally curated to match artist with audience, resulting in an uplifting and transformative experience for all.

Bread & Roses Presents institutional shows are not open to the public; however, we invite our supporters to contact us to make special arrangements to attend a show. We are always eager to share with you firsthand the impact your generosity has on the isolated audiences we serve.
