Chasing The Light: The Rock & Roll Photography of Jay Blakesberg

A dynamic slideshow/storytelling photography experience with live Q&A on FANS.COM

Legendary rock photographer and member of Bread & Roses Circle of Advisors, Jay Blakesberg, presented his fascinating slideshow/storytelling event, "Chasing the Light," featuring stories and photos from his amazing 40+ year career on Sunday, April 12. You can enjoy the conversation on Youtube (featured here) until April 26. Blakesberg described how his love for photography began in 1978 after his father loaned him his 35mm Pentax camera to shoot the Grateful Dead performing at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The rest is history!

Sit back and enjoy Blakesberg’s captivating stories and images with some wild tales of life on the road touring with the Grateful Dead and shooting some of rock's most iconic bands and artists like Neil Young, Tom Waits, Dr. Dre, and David Byrne, just to name a few. Blakesberg will also discuss his role serving as the official photographer for the Grateful Dead's 50th-anniversary concerts. Following the one hour presentation is a live Q&A session with Blakesberg, in which viewers had "backstage passes" to learn more about Blakesberg's life behind the lens.
