The benefit concert will be an epic celebration of 50 years of free live music and performing arts for children and youth, adults and seniors who are most in need of hope and healing.
The concert promises to be a powerful night of live performance in a spectacular intimate showcase. Grammy-winning singer-songwriter/musician Rickie Lee Jones' five-decade career includes a long history of supporting Bread & Roses with appearances at prior benefit concerts at the Herbst Theatre and Festival of Music at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. She is known for her wide range of songs in a jazz-rock style including her classic hit Chuck E's in Love on her debut album in 1979, which won a Grammy for "Best New Artist." She's recorded 15 studio albums. Her latest release Pieces of Treasure re-interprets the great American songbook and was nominated in 2024 for "Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album." Her recent memoir Last Chance Texaco: Chronicles of an American Troubadour takes us on her nomadic journey profiling her longevity as an iconic and legendary American female artist. www.rickieleejones.com

They received recent Grammy nominations for “Best New Artist” and “Best American Roots Song” for Blank Page. Their major label debut album “Lover’s Game” conveys how love is found through struggle and is widely acclaimed along with their latest collaboration “Hey Driver” with Zach Bryan. www.thewarandtreaty.com
Aaron Lee Tasjan is also returning to open the concert with a few of his thought-provoking and humorous songs.
